And the winner is...

Before starting thinking about making THE list of good resolutions, coming January 2007, I set up a sort of awards of people I met this year and who gave me "une grosse claque" (a big slap... This is a metaphore obviously. I mean people who tought me something this year, who surprised me)...

And it is gonna a girly set, I would even say a French-speaker girly set.

For a start, I will obviously start talking about the Mère Supérieure (Mother Superior) Stellou who works on the website Madmoizelle. This young lady's writing skills have made my days since I met and start reading her, and on the top of that kicked my a.. to start writing again myself... With her fellow Fab who accepted me in the writing team of the girly website mentioned above, it gave me the opportunity to find out that what I write is not only blowing in the wind...

Another smack, the little blond girl sitting in front of me in my office who have been able to show me that you can be blond... and intelligent as well :)... You can meet intelligent and bright people sometimes, but meeting bright, intelligent and funny modest people who don't take themselves too seriously is definitely less common... And so is Carolala (real name: Carola) who is able to speak Dutch (she is Dutch so not a big deal) a better French than mine (brought up in France), a fab English (thanks to bilingual school), a stunning Italian, German and Flemish (which is the same than Dutch, but still)... And all of that, I discovered it after having been working for at least 4 months with her... When you think about some people who are able to be sooooooooooooooo proud of being able to speak only French and English... Well the only thing I would like to tell them: "meet Carola Van den Noord and I would advise you to shut the F... up". She definitely belongs to this sort of people who, without sounding like giving you advices or anything like that, are teaching you far more than some others who feel allowed to tell you what is life all about... 

To my sister too, Céline with whom I spend more time this year as she came up to London to visit me and thanks to her new broadband connexion... After 25 years belonging to the same family, we actually learnt this year to know each other and discovered that we had far more in common than what we thought. We are sisters after all!
